Last spring, when we decided it was time to sell our home and purchase a new one, we began looking for a realtor who would not only help us through the process but also someone we could trust to offer sound advice. We could not have found a better fit than Eddie and Laura Burton.

| My family and I lived in Timberlake for nearly 8 years. We loved our home and our community. However, a job opportunity came up that required us to relocate. | Who can say that after being in a house for 5 years you remember who your realtor was to begin with or have such fondness for the experience itself? We can. Right after Sam exited the service we were adapting to becoming civilians once again. Coming from Oklahoma and staying at Fort Bragg we had no idea where to look for a house that was close to Sam’s family who live close to Roxboro. We didn’t know the school districts for our children, we didn’t know about the property taxes- we simply did not know anything about the area we were purchasing a home in. As a new resident of North Carolina and also a first time homebuyer I needed a lot of advice and hand holding with the home buying process. Laura and Eddie were always available to answer our many questions and relieve any concerns we had. And we had a lot! They were always there for us and went far beyond their call of duty to make our dream of owing a home come true. Since I had just moved here from out of state I didn’t know whom to use for financing and they gave us the name and number of a wonderful loan officer who also made the home buying experience more smooth and easy than we anticipated. When we made our offer Eddie and Laura did excellent research into the comparable homes and I believe we got our home for an excellent price with all the needs and wants on our list as well as in the area we wanted to live. When we were unable to come to the home inspection Eddie went instead. When the water was turned on they discovered the water line to the icemaker was broken! As the ice maker line flooded the kitchen he and the inspector mopped up the water! After the repairs were made on a roof leak Eddie went to the house and looked it over and let me know the repair looked great. I was so relieved and touched that he cared enough to go by and check it out for us! So I can honestly say Eddie and Laura go far beyond what any other realtor would do for their clients! They gave us the names and numbers for the closing attorney as well as an agent for our homeowner’s insurance policy. | This letter is to let you know what a wonderful experience I had with Eddie and Laura Burton. Please pardon its length. I usually write succinct letters, but the Burtons are so wonderful and exceptional that I want to make sure they get the praise and credit they deserve. Eddie and Laura truly care about the well being of their clients and this is what has impressed me the most about them. When I first started communicating with Laura, I told her exactly what type of property I was interested in as well as my price range, and she respected that. She sent me e-mail with property listings of exactly what I had asked. When we met to go view the properties, she was extraordinarily organized with a folder that included her contact information, guidelines and laws about purchasing real estate, printouts of the listings of all the properties we were going to visit arranged in chronological order, and a map of the area where I was interested in living. At no time did I ever feel pressured to visit a property that was not suitable for me or out of my price range. As a matter of fact, when we pulled up to a few properties that I immediately knew I would not be interested in purchasing, we stayed in the car and went on to the next property because Laura honored my experience in knowing what I do and do not want. My interactions with Eddie and Laura from the time I decided which home I wanted to bid on through moving in to that home was absolutely stellar. Eddie wrote the contract and I honestly do not recall a single question I asked of him that he was unable to answer. He was prepared with a folder that included information on the steps involved in purchasing a home, cost estimates for each step, and which party pays what fees. He was very detail-oriented in regard to explaining what each part of the contract meant, and flawlessly presented it in laymans terms with a bottom-line twist; it was obvious he knew the technical aspects as well as what concerns a buyer. There were several hurdles independent of the Burtons leading to the closing of my home. They included problems with property descriptions on the former deed, easement rights, and a few other issues. Eddie and Laura always kept me abreast on each situation and called me with updates even if the update was that the situation had not changed. Their communication during that time is greatly appreciated and alleviated much of my anxiety about purchasing my home. Additionally, they did much of the legwork needed to resolve some of the issues by contacting neighbors of the property to obtain information and gently reminding an attorney to stay on track. | ||

| The personal attention the Burtons gave to me was astounding, unique and genuine. They did so many nice things that it would be hard to list them all, so here are a several examples of what makes Eddie and Laura stand out from the crowd: During a conversation with Laura, I had mentioned that I already had the electricity account changed to my name. Since the previous owners of my home had physical limitations, the mailbox was near the house to accommodate their disabilities even though it should have been near the road. When Laura realized that I was about to get mail and that the mailbox was in the wrong location for a person without disabilities, she called me and was prepared to go to my home, dig up my mailbox, and move it near the road so my mail would be delivered without interruption. (I had already placed a hold on my mail.) When I was shopping for insurance, I needed the serial numbers from each half of my mobile home, its make, and its exact dimensions. Eddie took the time to drive to my home and get that information for me since I was in Maine and the home was in North Carolina. Without his help, I would not have been able to get home owners insurance. When loading the moving truck in Maine, the tires on my hand truck deflated and I desperately needed a working hand truck to use when I arrived in North Carolina. Eddie and Laura dropped off their own hand truck and allowed me to use it for as long as needed. They also dropped off my keys in my home the day before I was scheduled to arrive since I was unable to fly to North Carolina for the closing and I do not feel secure in mailing house keys. I needed to make two trips from Maine to North Carolina in order to move my animals safely. I brought my cats and birds with me during the first trip. Eddie, Laura and their daughter checked in on my cats and birds every day while I was traveling back to Maine and making the second trip with my dogs to North Carolina. Additionally, one of my cats had probably been abused before I adopted her and she does not act normal. Eddie and Laura spent time looking in every crook and nanny in my home to find her and make sure she was doing okay. Finally, Eddie and Laura left me gifts for my first day in my new home. They left a wonderful meat and cheese spread with vegetables, bread, condiments, cookies, towels and a card. They successfully wrapped up their business with me in a warm, professional and memorable manner. The only time that I believe I saw any evidence of Laura or Eddie not being on target was when I had lunch with Laura after I moved to North Carolina. She was telling me about how they always try to put 150% into everything they do. I believe that to be a gross underestimate. The effort they put into every interaction with their clients is of an immeasurable percentage and it shows loud and clear. Because of my experiences with Eddie and Laura Burton, I will definitely recommend them and Keller Williams Preferred Realty to anyone who is seeking a real estate broker. | Laura and Eddie are a great team. They have super ideas to help sell your home and it gives the buyer a great impression. My husband and I were very pleased with their services and most of all how friendly they were. They were always willing to answer any questions we had and if they did not have the answer they would find out the best answer for us. We had been with several agents trying to sell our home and when we would call them it would take a couple days to get a call back.
